I accidentally entered the band abbreviation as "EFO" and went back and made it "efo" (for Eddie From Ohio). My fileset is correctly named, and uploaded to ia341228.us.archive.org as efo2007-09-13.flac16

It seems that my naming issue when starting the upload may be keeping the fileset from being checked in.

I can't redo the process as the name is now taken... unless I select a more descriptive name for the files that includes rig information, and then rename my files, correct references in md5sums, ffps, etc.

Can an admin help this process, or am I stuck selecting a new name, renaming files, and re-uploading?

Thanks! At least it will be worth the effort... easily one of the best recordings I've ever made. :)

Definitely looks like a case issue. When I went back and put the correct band abbreviation (efo), the system accepted it, but it didn't seem like new lower-case folder wasn't created on the upload server. So I put the files in the EFO2007-09-13.flac16 folder, but that's not the same thing of course.

Anyway... if an admin can help, that would be great. I think I painted myself into a corner by not selecting the right case from the start. That'll teach me to be away from LMA for a good year. I got rusty.

Thansk!

First off, please read this brand new document on all the latest tips and help with the LMA:

http://www.archive.org/iathreads/uploaded-files/Tyler-Uploading_to_LMA_2007-08-06_final.pdf

2nd, yes, you should be fine. the system spazes out a little when you go and try to make all these changes / little things when it is busy working.. it looks like it is currectly making the mp3's right now and will be done in a few hours. just hold tight.

the 'old' / 'bad' show ID: http://www.archive.org/details/efo2007-09-13.flac16 we can kill when the 'good' one: http://www.archive.org/details/EFO2007-09-13.flac16 ends up final.

In the future, don't worry about show / band abbreviations being perfect. they don't matter to the system anymore, as they did in the old system.

Speaking of help from aministrators; I wonder if they noticed the new troll(s)? Some idiot(s) have registered under the names of Jim Kelly, Ken Stabler, Roger Staubach and other NFL Hall of Fame quarterbacks. Your Grateful Dead forum is now becoming a deluge of, I'm a gay troll, suck my d*ck." And so it's going down the john, with the opinions of perverted garbage mouths not even interested in the topics there. Flush the toilet because it really stinks...

Error: Something went wrong with posting (or deleting your post). And this is all I see any more. Is thios what happens if I report trols posting a bunch of filth on the forums???
